Louisville, Kentucky; A Hidden Gem

In the end of June, a couple college friends and I headed down south to the cute little town of Louisville, Kentucky. This little city is SO underrated and honestly goes on the list of favorite cities I have ever been. Between the cute little charm, delicate food, and friendly atmosphere, this was truly a place of exploration. We got to drive through 4 states, including, Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, and Kentucky. The eight hour drive and time change along the way was so worth all the sites.

After making it to Louisville and settling down we headed out to the races. We went to Churchill Downs, LITERALLY THE PLACE WHERE THE KENTUCKY DERBY IS HELD!! It was an amazing place and I could feel the history right when we stepped through those gates and headed down to the track. While there, we were able to place bets on horses and see a horse race live. Of course, we had to join in on the fashion rain and dress up in the most southern and traditional horse race attire outfits we could find. We were totally, "those girls", but I think we killed it.

After our adventures at the races, it came the day we have all been waiting for since December, TAYLOR SWIFT! So, we are those crazy fans that traveled literally miles to go see the love of our lives. Our ten year old selves would have fainted and our twenty year old selves literally sang our hearts out as loud as we could the whole concert; now that we see videos, its a little embarrassing LOL. The concert was AMAZING and if you have the opporuntiy to drive down to Louisvile to see a concert, do it now. The traffic may have sucked and we may have missed the first two acts, but honestly wouldn't have done it any other way.

Thanks Taylor Swift for letting us scream Love Story out as loud as we could with no judgement at all. Until next time Louisville.
